Chinese Art
The Chinese have been prolific artists over the past 5,000 years and more. From neolithic times, archeologists have found painted pottery and other artwork from neolithic times. Over the centuries, Chinese dynasties have had signature artistic styles. Caligraphy, or the art of fine handwriting, has been featured alone and within other artistic pieces. Calligraphy has also been featured in other countries, like Korea and Japan, who have inherited the Chinese writing system. Chinese painting is famous the world over with its signature scenery of landscapes, people and animals. The Chinese also make crafts, which can be found virtually anywhere in China.
