An old British building from the early 20th century - still in use today by the Chinese.

Guangzhou is a strategic area. Located on the Pearl River Delta area, Guangzhou is a major port and gateway to Hong Kong and South East Asia. Guangzhou is also known as Canton, and although Mandarin (Beijing dialect) is spoken officially, many people speak Cantonese. In Guangzhou, you can still see the remnants of European settlements - old stone buildings now inhabited by Chinese governmental agencies.
