The
People's Republic of China
The
People's Republic of China is only a little over 50 years
old. It is so named because the Communist leader of China,
Mao Ze Dong, took over. In Communist doctrine, everything
belongs to The People. The People's land, The People's money,
The People's Republic. More to come.
Beijing's
Traffic Problem
This
video shows that millions of Chinese have gotten off of
their bicycles and into cars. In Beijing alone, there are
roughly 2 million motorists on the road, choking the city
with pollution and clogging major arterial roadways in the
city. Some of the top killers in Beijing today are lung
cancer and traffic accidents.

China
and South Korea Duke it out over History
Oh
oh! China and South Korea are in a tit for tat about some
land in near present-day North Korea! Apparently, the feelings
run so deep that South Korea wants to boycott Chinese products
(good luck). South Korea is just across the Yellow Sea, East
of China. This is not even about China wanting more land,
but about a kingdom long ago, called Koguryo. Apparently,
China kicked some feudal butt and Koguryo became part of China.
But, South Korea says that this is not so.
